Purpose of MP Mukhyamantri Kanyadan scheme
The main objective of MP Mukhyamantri Kanyadan scheme is to provide financial help to poor and needy families in marrying their daughters. Under this scheme, assistance of Rs 16000 would be given to the families for the mass marriage expenditure. The assistance would be only provided when the girl has attained the age of 18 years and is ready to get married. ELIGIBILITY
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- Under this scheme, the age of the girl at the time of marriage should not be less than 18 years and the age of the groom should not be less than 21 years.
- An abandoned woman who is destitute and not financially capable of remarrying herself. Apart from this, those who have been legally divorced can also take advantage of this scheme.
- Under Kanya Vivah Yojana MP, the name of the girl should be registered on the Samagra portal.
