Rework your keyword usage throughout

The words you use throughout your design make a difference in how well you are placed in the SERPs (search engine results pages).  Placing high in the SERPs with relevant searches will drive more traffic your way.  

Make sure you use pinpointed keywords.  For instance, if you’re in the business of producing industrial diesel generators, you want to make sure to use that string of words throughout your website design.  

Add the element of social media

Social media provides opportunities for visibility.  You need to have social media profiles for your business, but you should also incorporate social media sharing icons within the design of your business website. 

People love clicking those familiar little icons and sharing something interesting with their friends.  Make sure they have the opportunity to do so by adding sharing buttons in relevant locations throughout your design.  

Create a business blog 

Your business has lots to teach web users, and you can use a blog to spread knowledge.  If you take the time to craft a well-written set of blog posts, people will have a good reason to take more time on your pages. 

Blog posts facilitate social media sharing and user communication too.  Adding a “leave a comment” box to the end of every post gives your consumer base an opportunity to share their thoughts.  

Use high quality images and videos

Your website needs excellent eye candy for your target users to enjoy.  It helps engagement, and can ultimately help to boost conversion rates.  High quality images and videos will give users a reason to keep their eyes locked onto your pages for a little longer.  

If your images are not properly formatted, you could have a problem with loading lag.  Don’t slow down your pages with these adornments, and compress large files for speedier loading.  

Focus on boosting communication

If you want more connections with consumers, you have to add easy communication elements to your website design.  A contact page is standard, but it can’t be the only thing your site has to initiate communication.  

Add a simple email signup form, a comment section on your blog, and a contact phone number on your homepage to make it even easier to make contact.
